IT'S A BANNER DAY EXHIBITION

It’s A Banner Day is an exhibition with Hygienic resident artist, Patti Murphy and artist Kat Murphy opening on June 1, 2013 and on view until June 29 at Hygienic Art Galleries in New London, CT. In addition to their paintings and graphic art exploring symbols and color, the show will be displaying a collaboration of banner artwork stringed together created by artists and their friends from around the world.



The Banner Collaboration hopes to engage the artistic side of artists and designers and will also connect them on this website. Each banner is created by a different artist and will carry the theme of "It’s A Banner Day" sharing artful messages of hope, good news, happiness and success. 100% of banner proceeds will be donated to Hygienic Art Galleries.

ABOUT THE GALLERY



Hygienic Art is a fine art venue and non-profit organization that focuses on enhancing cultural experience and economic development. The building has been restored with residential artists studios and a public art gallery. It is recognized as the center of the fine arts community in New London. Local artists can submit their work for display in various shows at the gallery. The space is also used for performances, educational presentations and private events. It features virtual galleries on the website in art and video form.
